November 2025 Update

A busy year at VRETRO DESIGN. Intensive testing and collaboration with several enthusiastic teams have produces great results for the VR177X (WD1770/1772 floppy controller). The list of compatible systems continues to grow with over 14 different systems now tested successfully (please see the product page for mopre details).

Also in the late stages of testing is a long term project, the Interface IV for the Spectrum. This multi interface combines several floppy interfaces, the Sinclair IF1 (including Microdrive and Network), an ESXMMC SD card interface, a Multiface 128 along with Wifi (ESP32) and a USB serial port supporting baud rates up to 2Mbps. Will be rolling test units out to testers in December with production starting in early 2026.
